Maurice Freedman (1904-1985) was an American modernist who painted Maine for much of his career. Though he spent time working in Europe, New York, Provincetown, and elsewhere, his work in Maine is some of his strongest, and demonstrates the height of his creative powers. All works are presented courtesy of Greenhut Galleries, Portland, Maine, and private collections.
