The Ogunquit Museum of American Art Docent Program

How would you like the opportunity to spend several hours a week from July through October at “the most beautiful little museum in the world,” surrounded by great art and interesting people from all over the world? If this appeals to you, then please consider becoming an OMAA Docent.

Docents who can volunteer at least two hours once a week are always needed. A schedule to fit each individual’s needs may usually be arranged. No previous art training is required, only a desire to learn and to make everyone’s visit to the OMAA an inspiring and memorable experience.

Docents serve as knowledgeable guides to our exhibitions, as well as narrators who share information about the OMAA and our historic community. In addition, Docents assist the Museum staff with security, help with our educational programs, opening receptions and fundraising events, as well as acting as tour guides for our October school programs.

For information about becoming an OMAA Docent, contact Susan Joy Sager at 207-646-4909.
